Nothing beats a steak at Pappas Bros., especially when the alkyhaul is flowing. Steaks were the usual perfection, but the highlight may have been the side of crab macaroni and cheese. Or the crab cake appetizer, studded with fried potato strings. Crab crab crab. Lowlight was the "wedge" salad, "wedge" in "quotes" because it was really a few broad leafs and the bacon bits lacked the requisite crunchiness. A tablemate's Caesar salad was also reportedly not up to snuff. No big whoop, since salads at a steak place are pretty much a waste of real estate anyway. Added entertainment: the octogenarian reading the menu to the vicesimogenarian who may or may not have been an employee or subcontractor of one of the nearby establishments on Regal Row, ifyouknowwhatImean. Four gavels.
