...for the best no frills sandwiches in Dallas, try The Power House in the entrance to the downtown YMCA at Ross and Akard. What's their secret? Fresh ingredients, who'd of thunk it! Plus they have a variety of healthy smoothies to choose from and the chocolate chip cookies are sneaky good, but you'll have to fight the healthy YMCA lunch rush around noon so go early if you don't want to wait ...if you're looking for a nice place for a quick lunch with some decent atmosphere downtown, The Atrium Cafe in the Dallas Museum of Art has walk up service, relatively cheap prices and always interesting food from the same chef that works at Seventeen Seventeen, the chichier place upstairs ...Oh yeah, and if you didn't know that Jimmy's Food Store in East Dallas on Fitzhugh and Bryan Street is back in business selling some of the most authentic Italian meats, cheeses, pastas and anything else you'd want this side of New Jersey, well, you know now... we're starting to like this run-on sentence thing...
