Truly words to live by. Thank you, Tobe McGuire's uncle from Spiderman (who was also the guy in the AT&T commercial and in Falconcrest, the 80's primetime soap starring Jane "former Ms. Ronald Reagan" Wyman and Latino heartthrob Lorenzo "Renegade" Lamas).
And with this new blog, we now have great responsibility. For, you see, not only do we have the obligation to inform you, our faithful readers of all that is going on in the Dallas restaurant scene and the scary world around you, but we also have complete control over anything that gets posted on this blog. That's right, from henceforth we shall be known throughout the land (or this blog anyway) as "Moderator". If we could change the heading of that first blog entry to "Kneel before Moderator!", we would, and maybe we just will. Anyway, it came to our attention yesterday when we checked our inbox and noticed that we had several emails from would-be "commentators" wanting to post "comments" on our "blog" (whoops, got a little carried away with the "quotations" there, "sorry"). One of these commentators wanted to know how long it would take for the Moderator to approve said commentator's comments. The answer to this is simple, faithful readers, we'll post your comments whenever we darn well please! We have little enough control over our own lives, what with work, social obligations and annoying stuff to do around our houses all competing for our limited time and attention, so don't be surprised if it takes us a little while (say, maybe a day or even a week if we're busy) to look over and approve all those brilliant and insightful responses to our equally insightful and consciousness-raising blog entries. To sum up, have patience because absolute power corrupts absolutely, and we have absolutely no idea where we're going with this. Later.
